The 3-Timer System
To keep competition fair and prevent players from farming points across too many streams at once, Marbles uses a simple timer system.
Join a Race
When you join a season-enabled race, you get a 10-minute timer with that streamer
Max 3 Timers
You can have up to 3 active timers at once — that's 3 different streamers
4+ = Timeout
If you have 4 or more active timers, you're timed out and can't earn season points from ANY stream
Recovery
Timers expire after 10 minutes — just wait, and you're back in the game
Simple rule: Stick to 3 streamers at a time, or wait for your timers to expire before switching.
How Points Work
The point system is intentionally complex — designed to reward multiple play styles and prevent any single dominant strategy.
Lobby Size Matters
More players in a race means more positions earn points — bigger lobbies reward more racers
Risk is Rewarded
Maps with higher death rates give survivors more points — risky tracks pay off
Gather Time Counts
The lobby timer affects points — don't rush too fast or wait too long
The Meta Shifts
Optimal strategies change based on many factors — there's no single 'best' approach
Why so complex? The system is designed to keep things interesting. What works for a part-time racer might not be optimal for someone racing daily — and that's intentional. Experiment, discover, and find what works for YOU.
Lap Tracks
Some tracks feature multi-lap racing — NASCAR-style circuits where marbles compete over multiple laps!
Multi-Lap Format
Streamers configure 3-10 laps recommended for good pacing
Top 3 Earn Points
Only the top 3 finishers earn season points in lap races
Higher Multipliers
Lap races have boosted point multipliers to reward the challenge
Commands NOT Available in Laps
!boost, !thrust, and !drift do not work in Lap races.
Pit Stops
Some lap tracks support !pit — check if your current track has pit lane support!
Pro tips:
- Lap tracks reward consistency — stay focused and avoid getting knocked out early!
- No World Record rewards for Laps maps, so streamers can pick any lap count freely
- Matches over 45 minutes have diminishing returns on XP
